Biden calls Xi Jinping a Dictator once again

WASHINGTON: The US President Joe Biden has called the Chinese President a dictator once again.

In response to a question from a reporter, Biden said the Chinese President Xi Jinping was a dictator because he ruled the country differently than the US.

The Chinese President is in the US to revive the relationship with the host country.

The statement came after a crucial meeting

Biden’s statement will likely land with a thud in China after a crucial meeting with Xi Jinping.

President Biden held a news conference after a four-hour-long meeting with Xi where both the leaders agreed on important points. Biden told reporters that he has not changed his views about Xi that he was a dictator.

“Look, he is. He’s a dictator in the sense that he’s a guy who runs a country that is a communist country that’s based on a form of government totally different than ours,” Biden said in response to a question.

Chinese foreign ministry responds

Without mentioning the name of the US president, the Chinese foreign ministry said the statement was irresponsible.

“This statement is extremely wrong and irresponsible political manipulation,” the ministry said. The foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said it strongly opposes the remarks.
