BEIJING: China has protested that a US destroyer entered its territorial waters without permission.
The Chinese military said the US naval destroyer USS Hopper entered the territorial waters but didn’t say anything when the vessel left.
The statement said the Chinese military dispatched its Navy and AirForce to track and warn the US ship.
US, a risk creator
The Chinese military blamed the US for being a risk creator in the region.
The statement said the event “proves that the United States is an out-and-out ‘security risk creator’ in the South China Sea.
The incident happened a week after a crucial meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
