WASHINGTON, 19 Feb: Former Republican Liz Cheney called the Republican party “Putin wing” after Donald Trump failed to mention outspoken Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny’s death.
Donald Trump failed to name Alexey Navalny, who recently died in Russian custody, and Putin, with whom he had been on good terms in his last presidency.
“We have to take seriously the extent to which you’ve now got a Putin wing of the Republican Party. I believe the issue this election cycle is making sure that the Putin wing of the Republican Party does not take over the West Wing of the White House,” Cheney told CNN.

Trump has said nothing about Navalny after his mysterious death – instead, he posted more than 20 times about diverse topics, ranging from legal cases against him and his political opponents.
He recently claimed that he would urge Putin to attack NATO member countries that fails to meet their financial obligations.
