US bases in Syria and Iraq have repeatedly come under drone attacks recently.

The US forces came under attack from a drone, which resulted in minor injuries to a few soldiers.

Iran maintaining deniability

John Kirby said Iran was trying to maintain deniability while facilitating proxies to fight against US troops.

“Iran’s goal is to maintain some level of deniability here, but we are not going to allow them to do that,” Kirby said.

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently said Iran was not behind the attack on its key ally in the Middle East.
