Joe Biden takes Trump union speech

WASHINGTON, 8 March: US President Joe Biden presented his candidacy for re-election in a blazing State of the Union speech on Thursday, accusing Trump of threatening democracy, siding with Russia, and obstructing the immigration bill.

Democrat Biden challenged Republican rival Donald Trump and his supporters in his 68-minute speech to Congress.

“Now, the ex Republican president told Putin, Do whatever you want, it’s outrageous, dangerous, and unacceptable.” Biden also said that we would stand by Ukraine’s side and not walk away.

Responding to Biden’s criticism, Trump said, “He says I bowed to Putin but the truth is that he gave Putin everything, including Ukraine.”

Speaking about the Middle East, Biden said, “We are trying to get a six-week ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, and we are also pressuring Israel to ensure the access of aid to Gaza.”

At the end of his speech, Biden announced building a temporary aid port on Gaza’s Mediterranean coast to receive humanitarian assistance by sea.
