ISLAMABAD: During a presser held today in Islamabad, the Interim Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar Ul Haq Kakkar, said Afghanistan has two options to choose from: Pakistan or the TTP (the Pakistani Taliban).
The statement surfaced after a wave of terrorist attacks, including an attack on an Air Force Base in Mianwali, the Khorasan Diary reported.
Kakar blames Afghanistan
The Interim PM once again blamed the Afghan administration for the recent uptick in the terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
He said, “since the Taliban government coming into power, Pakistan has witnessed 60% increase in terrorism related incidents and suicide attacks related incidents witnessed 500% increase in Pakistan.”
PM defends deporting Afghans
In a strange reference to the recent statement issued by the Afghan government minister, Mr Kakar said Pakistan was deporting Afghans to put the country on track.
“The Afghan Interim Government through frivolous statements asked us to put our house in order and so we have begun the process”, Mr Kakar said.
