UNITED STATES, Nov 20: The BBC spent months chasing YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul for answers about his cryptocurrency dealings—only for him to send a lookalike in his place.
In a new documentary titled Logan Paul: Bad Influence?, the BBC explores allegations that Paul promoted crypto projects, including the failed CryptoZoo, without disclosing his financial ties.
Paul, who is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit over the matter, denies any wrongdoing.
Reporter Matt Shea finally secured an interview with Paul at his Puerto Rico gym, but instead of showing up, Paul sent viral doppelgänger Rodney Petersen.
The moment, captured on camera, is surreal. “The real Logan Paul looks very different,” Shea comments, to which Petersen quips, “This is your interview—what you got?”
The bizarre stunt didn’t end there. A group of protesters disrupted the interview, shouting anti-BBC slogans referencing scandals involving former BBC employees.
Adding to the chaos, Paul’s lawyers sent the outlet a warning letter minutes after Shea left the gym.
Rather than defending himself, Paul appears to have leaned into trolling, leaving the allegations unaddressed.
With the release of the documentary, questions about his crypto dealings—and his accountability—are far from over.
