Putin prefers Biden over Trump

MOSCOW, 15 Feb: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he prefers the sitting US President Joe Biden over the former Donald Trump.

According to Reuters, Putin was asked during a TV interview about the U.S. election whether he preferred Democrat Biden or Republican Trump.

Putin immediately answered without hesitation, “Biden, he’s more experienced, more predictable, he’s a politician of the old formation,”

Putin continued , “But we will work with any US President who will be elected by the people of America”.

Change of tone

Remarks by the Russian President hints at an alleged change of tone.

Joe Biden, had been a vocal critic of Russia’s attack on Ukraine and has led a series of sanctions on Moscow.

One the other hand, Biden’s rival, Trump allegedly has a soft corner towards Russia and has a stance of establishing good relations with Russia.

Donald Trump recently said that he would encourage Putin to invade any NATO state who has failed to meet their financial obligations as per NATO’s charter.
