MOSCOW: Relations have escalated to another low as Russia arrests US national on charges of drug trafficking.
The alleged suspect named Robert Romanov Woodland was arrested by authorities in Moscow and district court in the northern Moscow suburb of Ostankino ruled that the suspect be held in custody until March 5.

Russian news website Mash, said Woodland faced a 20-year prison sentence if found guilty of his crime.
The total number of Americans detained in Moscow reached three after the arrest of Mr Woodland, Reuters reported.
No other details were immediately available. Neither the US state department nor the US embassy in Moscow has commented, and the secretary of state, Antony Blinken, did not address it at a press conference later on Tuesday in Tel Aviv.
Woodland’s arrest comes as relations between the US and Russia grow increasingly strained as the war in Ukraine continues.
President Joe Biden’s efforts to release two American prisoners in Moscow bear no fruit as Russia declined to release them.
