WASHINGTON, 21 Feb: Republican top nominee Donald Trump has compared himself to deceased Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny as he faces legal hurdles.

In a Fox News interview, Donald Trump drew parallels between his legal challenges and Alexei Navalny, the deceased Russian opposition figure who mysteriously died in a Russian prison.

While praising Navalny’s courage and bravery, Trump avoided blaming Putin for the unexpected death.

“He was a very brave guy because he went back. He could have stayed away, and frankly, probably would have been a lot better off staying away and talking from outside of the country,” Trump said.

US is turning into a communist state

President Biden, along with other leaders, holds Putin responsible for Navalny’s demise. In a lengthy appearance on Fox News, Trump criticized the $355 million fine in his New York fraud trial, equating it to “communism or fascism.”

He asserted the U.S. is “turning into a communist country,” because he has been prosecuted for being a politician.

On Sunday, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that Navalny’s death in an Arctic penal colony last week had made him “more aware of what is happening” in the United States.
