President Vladimir Putin has dismissed speculations that the United States is preparing for war against Russia and China, Reuters reported.
He warned the West that any conflict involving Russia would be significantly different from the ongoing Ukraine situation.
Putin’s statement comes in response to a bipartisan panel appointed by the U.S. Congress, which proposed that Washington ready itself for potential simultaneous wars with Moscow and Beijing.
Putin Addresses Growing Tensions
Putin also emphasized that the United States escalated tensions with China by forming the “AUKUS” security alliance with Australia and Britain.
Contrary to speculation, he clarified that Russia and China were not in the process of establishing a military partnership.
Putin Says War Thoughts Are Unhealthy
Putin conveyed his concern over the public discourse of war between Russia and the United States, deeming such thoughts unhealthy. He asserted that the desire for peace remains but underscored the importance of preparedness. Putin concluded that the notion of both the U.S. and China engaging in war is unfounded, describing it as mere fear-mongering between nations.
