EUROPE: An investigation revealed that a high-ranking Ukrainian army commander played a crucial role in sabotaging the Nord Stream Gas Pipelines.

A joint investigation carried out by two international newspapers concluded that the Nord Stream Pipelines were destroyed with the help of explosive charges by a team of six members.

Investigation blames Ukrainian officer

The two newspapers, The Washington Post newspaper and German Der Spiegel, conducted a joint investigation and published it on Saturday.

The investigation named Roman Chervinsky, a 48-year-old Ukrainian Special Forces commander, for playing a crucial role in destroying the gas pipeline.

Chervinsky, the “coordinator”, denied involvement in the operation through his lawyer.

“All speculations about my involvement in the attack on Nord Stream are being spread by Russian propaganda without any basis,” he said.
