The embassy urged US citizens to remain vigilant due to planned demonstrations and political rallies, specifically in Lahore.

“We encourage U.S. citizens to limit unnecessary travel on October 20-21, as well as to avoid large gatherings and always remain vigilant of their surroundings,” the statement said.

The statement insisted on keeping a low profile and cooperating with the police.
