RIYADH/WASHINGTON: The US Central Command announced the arrival of an Ohio-class nuclear submarine in the Middle East.

This undisclosed submarine’s presence was confirmed with a photograph taken as it transited the Suez Canal on Monday.

The submarine’s identity remains unknown

The submarine’s exact identity remains unknown, leaving experts to speculate.

Despite this ambiguity, the submarine’s deployment underscores the United States’ long-term commitment to increasing its deterrence capabilities in the region and eliminating potential threats.

“On November 5, 2023, an Ohio-class submarine arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility”, the US CENTOM said on X, formerly Twitter.
